Furnace & Duct Cleaning
Allergy and disease causing dust, pollen, animal dander, cigarrette smoke, water leaks, mouse droppings, dust mites, fungus, mold and bacteria, cold and flu viruses may be present in your ducts. Each time the fan goes on, it forces them into your living environment for you to breathe…morning, day and night. Now recognized as a major allergy and disease causing problem by authorities. Doctors and allergists commonly prescribed home air duct cleaning as a solution. Even new homes have been found to contain dead animals, hazardous construction materials and drywall dust within the air duct system.
So when we looked at duct cleaning equipment, we saw everything from electric portables to small gas powered machines. We wanted to be the best, and we needed power to handle any job. After extensive research, we chose an engine generated power vac - why? Unbeatable performance.
There are three key components to HVAC cleaning: breaking contaminants loose, collection of contaminants and cleaning the Air Handler/ Furnace .
Breaking Contaminants Loose
Properly cleaning HVAC systems requires removing the sources of contamination. Source removal begins with use of one or more agitation devices designed to loosen contaminants from the surfaces within the heating and air-conditioning system.
Collection of Contaminants
During cleaning, the entire HVAC system is placed under continuous negative pressure (vacuum) to prevent the spread of contaminants. Continuous negative pressure allows very fine airborne particles to be removed from the system straight into our truck instead of your home.
Cleaning the Air Handler/ Furnace
Last we clean the Furnace which includes the Drain Pan, Air Plenum, Heating Exchanger, and Blower Motor. The Furnace is a magnet for dirt, and debris, so if forgotten, it can cause the furnace to freeze up, slow down and/or work harder.
Our HVAC system cleaning includes the following components:
Air Handler/Furnace, Main Line, Supply Ducts, Return Ducts, Coils, Drain Pan, Registers, Air Plenum, Heating Exchanger, Blower Motor and Assembly.
What You Need to Know About Duct Cleaning
Air duct cleaning is a misnomer. In actuality, the entire HVAC system should be cleaned, not just portions. Failure to clean all components of the system can result in re-contamination of the entire system, thus minimizing the benefits of cleaning.
Education in this industry is critical so you know contaminants are being removed safely and properly. To achieve this, we take yearly classes and courses so we can stay up-to-date with the National Air Duct Cleaning Association (NADCA) standards. We are NADCA certified firm.
NADCA recommends to have your ducts cleaned every 3-5 years.
Cleaning your duct work can save you money over time. It helps make your furnace run less thus reducing your energy bill. It also helps with better air flow and indoor air quality throughout the home.
